Love

This is how we should love
We all want to be loved or feel love and it is important we should love back too. My best
definition of love is according to St. Paul in the 1 Corinthians chapter 13 vs. 4-7. He tells us that “love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

Love has nothing to do with music video or holy hood love. To me that kind of love is not real or true. That kind of love expects something in return and expects you to be perfect. It expects you to be a certain way to be loved. While the love by which we came into existence, gives it unconditional, with no string attached.

“LOVE” is full of grace. For example: you don’t need to do anything for you to be loved by someone. That person loves you simply because you are you. No matter what you do, he or she loves you and that is what grace does.

One thing I have realised in this world is that, people want you to be a certain way for them to love you. I will advise you to stick to who you are. As long as you are not doing any wrong to any one, you are good. You don’t need to change who you are for you to receive love. If that person does not love you for whom you are, then he/she does not deserve to be in your life. Don’t be someone else to get love; it will affect you in the long run. Love only wants the best for you.

I leave you with my favourite quote of love from Paulo Coelho "one is love because one is love. No reason is needed to be loved". Remember this, the next time anyone wants you to be a certain way for him/her to love you. The only thing love wants from you, is to for you to be the best and reach your God given potential.
