My favourite Cat in the Hat Book is the fish; because.....

The Cat in the Hat - was originally a handwritten novel, which later became a movie. The story was written by Dr. Seuss and from what I understand; the story is a battle between morality and immorality, good and bad choices. Thus, my favourite Cat in the Hat Book is “the fish – a Christ figure”, because this character stands for good and integrity.

We all face challenges and difficulties, which might make us forget what really matters. The fish in the story makes us see that many at times, we will encounter situations that permit us to make bad choices; as maybe you were a victim and so you want to pay back for the ones that wronged you and in the process the innocents might suffer. Instead of choosing that path, the fish urges us to not succumb to the pressure of being immoral and wicked - living a life without caring about the consequences of your actions.

Life brings it shares of disasters and people do not make it easy either – they are selfish, greedy, and wicked. So, instead of you choosing the path of misbehaviour and doing away with your values, think twice and make sure when you choose a voice, you choose the good voice – the voice of the fish, which tells you and I to do good and have integrity. Every choice, whether good or bad, has consequences.

So, whatever choice you make, make sure you are ready to accept the outcome.

Inspirational words for you

I love inspirational words, because they give one a push in the right direction and make you achieve greatness. I truly believe that everybody needs to be inspired - they need to hear "you can do it" once in a while.

I am a very assertive and passionate person - i believe so much in who i am, what i want and where i am heading, but like every other human being, many at times i feel lost, confuse and tired. So, inspirational words like the ones below push me forward to my goals and dreams; and that is why i feel a sense of responsibility in sharing these inspirational words with you and i hope it gives you the right push.

"Look at me!
Look at me!
Look at me NOW!
It is fun to have fun
But you have to know how" - Dr. Seuss, The Cat in the Hat Book

"I know it is wet and the sun is not sunny, but we can have lots of good fun that is funny." - Dr. Seuss, The Cat in the Hat Book

"Why fit in when you were born to stand out?" - Dr. Seuss, The Cat in the Hat Book

"Be who you are and say what you feel
because those who mind, don't matter
and those who matter don't mind." - Dr. Seuss, The Cat in the Hat Booo

Why I have conversations?

Conversations are talks between two people and at times with oneself; if I am to answer the question of why I have conversations, I will probably tell you it is because I want to connect with someone and in the process I will learn something new.

Take for instance the conversation with God; when i communicate with God every day, I feel that I am growing in love and grace with him – I feel a sense of wisdom and understanding about life. I feel a sense of belonging and connection to him that words can’t even explain; in the process I learn more about his loving, kind and merciful nature and it is quite amazing – I learn more about me.

I do have conversations with God, with my mother, my friends and with myself. Yes - you heard me; I do have conversations with myself. In which I voice out my feelings and it does wonders for me. I often do that to find relief and when I feel that no one understands me, because we all do feel that way at times, right? I also do have conversation with myself to put myself in the right track, when I go astray.

I have conversations with God, to tell him how much I love him and realise that he is God, to thank him, to ask for his forgiveness, to ask for his help on achieving my dreams and ambitions, to tell him about my day, etc…I do have conversations with God for so many reasons.

Hence, I will honestly answer that I do have conversations with people and God, because I want to connect with them and I know in some way I will learn something.

The Futility of Political Power

Words of encouragement from God, I hope you get inspired and learn something new. These words are from the book of Ecclesiastes 4 vs. 13 – 16.

It is better to be a poor but wise youth than an old and foolish king who refuses all advice. Such a youth could rise from poverty and succeed.

But then everyone rushes to the side of yet another youth who replaces him. Endless crowd stand around him, but then another generation grows up and rejects him, too.

So, it is all meaningless - like chasing the wind.

Love in My Heart

I will greet this day with love in my heart.
And how will i do this?
Henceforth will i look on all things with love and be born again.
I will love the sun for it warms my bones;
Yet i will love the rain for it cleanses my spirit.
I will love the light for it shows me the way;
Yet i will love the darkness for it shows me the stars.
I will welcome happiness as it enlarges my heart;
Yet i will endure sadness for it opens my soul.
I will acknowledge rewards for they are my due;
Yet i will welcome obstacles for they are my challenge.

My bucket list

We all have things we will love to achieve and do before we leave this earth, that is, if we do get the chance and opportunity. I am not different, and below are the things I will love to do and achieve before I leave this earth, through the grace of God.

Grow in love, strength and grace with God.

Get me a degree in Public Relations Management – a dream I am about to achieve.

Get me masters in Communications or International Relations.

Work in the United Nations organisation under the Peace Keeping Department or UNICEF.

Become Equatorial Guinea Ambassador to the USA, Britain or Spain.

Be in love with a man who will love, respect and honour me.

Be married to that man that will love, respect and honour me and never get divorce.

Make a family with that man that will love, respect and honour me.

Travel around the world, especially in countries like Japan, Israel, Egypt, Italy and Spain.

Be a positive influence to my family and the community I live in.

Possess a house and vehicle of my own, bought with my hardworking money.

Have a ranch with one or two horses.

These are but a few of what I will love to achieve and it all links to my personality and what I love and enjoy doing.

The advantage of companionship

A passage from the book of Ecclesiastes, chapter 4 vs. 7 – 12 and I hope it gives you more insight into life as you reflect on it.

I observed yet another example of something meaningless under the sun. This is the case of a man who is all alone, without a child or a brother, yet who works hard to gain as much wealth as he can. But then he asks himself, “Who am I working for? Why am I giving up so much pleasure now?” it is all so meaningless and depressing.

Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone?
A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

God give you wisdom and understanding of this passage as you meditate on these words.

The limits of human wisdom

Food for the thought from the book of Ecclesiastes, chapter 7vs 15-20.
I have seen everything in this meaningless life, including the death of good young people and the long life of wicked people. So don’t be too good or too wise! Why destroy yourself?
On the other hand, don’t be too wicked either. Don’t be a fool! Why die before your time? Pay attention to these instructions, for anyone who fears God will avoid both extremes.
One wise person is stronger than ten leading citizens of a town!
Not a single person on earth is always good and never sins.

My big fat BIG dream

Well, what can i say?
My big fat BIG dream is to have a family of my own and use my influence, power, beauty, money, whatever God gives me for the good of others. Basically, everything that i am and have, should be used to influence people in a positive way.
I do believe God blessed me and will continue to do so, so that i can be a blessing to others. I don’t have to make anybody feel inferior or bad with anything that i have, instead, all that i am and have, should be a platform to cater for others less fortunate than me.
It is indeed my passion to influence people in a positive way and be there for anyone that need me in anyway that i can. My big fat BIG dream tallies with my purpose in life and everything that i am. So, there you have it.

Wisdom for life

Food for the thought from the book of Ecclesiastes, chapter 7 vs 1-8.
A good reputation is more valuable than costly perfume. And the day you die is better than the day you are born. Better to spend your time at funerals than at parties. After all, everyone dies – so the living should take this to heart. Sorrow is better than laughter, for sadness has a refining influence on us.
A wise person thinks a lot about death, while fool thinks only about having a good time.
Better to be criticised by a wise person than to be praised by a fool. A fool’s laughter is quickly gone. Like thorns cracking in a fire. This is also meaningless. Extortion turns wise people into fools, and bribes corrupt the heart.
Finishing is better than starting. Patience is better than pride.

or forward in fear,
but around in awareness.

is just the place and time
that the tide will turn.
